RAZ MELAMED

A3

Melamed designed "A3" for his clients who work as art curators. Beautiful artwork by well-known artists is displayed throughout the space. Clean lines and natural materials create an elegant space with a comforting sense of cohesion throughout the entire apartment.

A5

"A5" is a modern shack located in the historic Neve Tzedek neighborhood in Tel Aviv. Melamed was chosen for this project because of his previous experience with refurbishing and modernizing historic properties in the neighboring ancient city of Jaffa.

On the 48th floor, in a high-rise building in central Tel Aviv, a 400 sqm apartment was designed for four people with two separate spaces, fit for hosting and living among an impressive collection of art. The biggest challenge in the design of the apartment was merging the family’s vision with the preexisting materials in the apartment.

Architect Raz Melamed, presenting an architectural mass of two asymmetrical blocks in size, color and shape. The white wall that surrounds the house creates a separation from the street through a niche isolated entrance that creates privacy for residents and visitors.

The House features spectacular architecture through balanced touches of concrete, wood, black and white which seamlessly lace from the exterior to the interior of the house in all their glory. From the outside, the building looks like a singular house, but the inside tells a different story: two brothers, two separate programs and two houses living side by side, with a common wall separating them, which is in fact the only architectural element they have in common.
